Expert Witness Reports & Valuations Independent, compliant reports
Expert Witness Reports
At Paul Airey Chartered Surveyors, we provide fully compliant Expert Witness reports to support legal proceedings across civil, family, criminal, and property tribunals.
Our reports are prepared in line with the relevant procedural rules and are delivered with clarity, impartiality, and professionalism.
An Expert Witness report offers an independent, evidence-based opinion on matters within our field of expertise. These reports are often used by the Court or Tribunal to help resolve disputes and may be accompanied by oral evidence if required. Whether acting for a single party or as a jointly appointed expert, our duty remains to the Court — ensuring transparency and integrity at every stage.
What is an Expert Witness Report?
An Expert Witness report is a professional opinion prepared for use in legal proceedings, relied upon by a Court or Tribunal. The appointed Expert may also be required to provide oral evidence and undergo examination and cross-examination in court.
In some cases, Experts from opposing parties may give evidence concurrently — a process known as Concurrent Expert Evidence (CEE) or more informally, ‘hot-tubbing’.
Experts can be instructed by a single party or appointed jointly by both sides as a Single Joint Expert. Regardless of the instruction route, the Expert’s overriding duty is always to the Court or Tribunal — not to the instructing party.
All reports are accompanied by a Statement of Truth and delivered in accordance with the relevant procedural rules. In line with professional standards, our Experts do not act on conditional fee arrangements.
